Hi, I’m Jessie!

Hi, I’m Jessie, a registered dietitian trained in functional and integrative nutrition (IFNCP). But more than that, I love gardening, cooking with my family, and continually learning how best to care for our health.

I didn’t grow up preserving food, but I’ve been drawn to it out of curiosity, a love of gardening, and my growing appreciation of God’s goodness. Seeking Thyme is my way of sharing what I’m learning about food preservation—from fermentation to canning to freezing and drying—with a focus on safe practices, gut health, and slowing down enough to enjoy the process.

My husband, kids and I are growing a tiny farm—complete with a veggie garden, chickens, and our own maple syrup operation. (Honey and a greenhouse are next on the wish list!)

While my background in nutrition gives me a strong foundation, I approach food preservation as both a student and a teacher—learning as I go and inviting others to do the same. If you’re looking for a place that honors both science and simplicity, you’re in the right spot.

Health starts from the ground up… so let’s gut going. 😊

My values…

At Seeking Thyme, I’ve learned that gardening teaches slowly—its lessons unfold over seasons, not days. Cooking feels the same. Each meal is a new chance to nourish, to try again, to keep learning. This space is where I share what I’m discovering in that rhythm—seasonal, imperfect, and rooted in something deeper than just getting dinner on the table.

Here’s what we’re growing toward, together:

Mindful & Sustainable Living There’s power in small, thoughtful choices. From using what’s in season to preserving food with purpose, this is about slowing down, reducing waste, and caring well for ourselves and the world around us.

Intentional Growth This isn’t about getting it perfect—it’s about showing up, learning, and adjusting along the way. Whether it’s preserving a harvest or rethinking wellness, we’re in it for the long haul.

Gut Health First True wellness starts from within. Everything here—recipes, resources, and rhythms—is built to support digestive health as the foundation for energy, clarity, and resilience.
